Responsibilities
* Execute, update and maintain test plans, test case, test data * Review and validate software requirements and functional design specifications * Perform manual functional testing on all product platforms * Analyze test results from a technical standpoint and ability to isolate defects * Participate in automated testing efforts * Track and report the test status and test coverage on all assigned tasks * Report and maintain software defects * Will work under the direction of a QA Manager or QA Lead, but may be asked to lead projects and will be expected to assist and mentor junior members of the team when required * Possess excellent interpersonal skills and should be a team player * Possess Excellent communications skills and be respectful to fellow employees * Actively participate in grooming and planning meetings * Pro-actively review and seek clarification on Acceptance criteria for the stories * Be flexible to work on different projects based on the project and company needs * May require overtime or off-peak hours to meet commitments * Mortgage domain knowledge from working in the industry or extensive development/test experience working on a Mortgage LOS * Experience with Ellie Mae's Encompass 360 Mortgage system is a plus
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent from a fully-accredited college or university * Experience working on software development projects * Familiarity and experience working with various testing levels such as unit testing, integration testing, system testing etc. * Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel * Knowledge of and some experience with automated testing applications such as QTP, UFT, Selenium, SOAP UI etc. * Demonstrated knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * 8+ years of experience in a quality assurance team environment OR use of an automation loan origination system in the mortgage industry * Working Knowledge of Agile Test Methodology is essential * Must possess a willingness and aptitude to embrace new ideas and master concepts rapidly * Must be a responsive, flexible team player that is self-motivated, self-starting, and enthusiastic * Spoken and written English skills with an ability to communicate ideas, problems and solutions effectively with QA/ lead or manager
