Senior Software Engineer (Elevated Careers)

And in 1997, after 35 years practicing as a clinical psychologist and counseling thousands of married couples, eHarmony CEO and founder Dr. Neil Clark Warren had come to believe there was a better way to find love than letting luck determine your fate. From his history and experience with clinical work, Dr. Warren noted that while some marriages were ending in divorce others were deeply satisfying and loving marriages.

As a founding member of our new Job Compatibility Engineering Team, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer. You will work our product to develop the next generation of matching technologies to power eHarmony’s new Job Compatibility product for job seekers and recruiters. Our mission is to provide candidate users with an entirely new way to find jobs that fit their skills at companies with which they are profoundly compatible, and recruiters to find talent that will truly thrive in their new positions. You will work on the technology that will bring this mission to life.

* Work with internal and external resources to implement and integrate new and existing systems * Create modules to extract features and signals from diverse data collections * Process large data logs to detect patterns and insights * Build tools to improve the targeting and relevance of eHarmony’s job matching platform * Work with Machine Learning specialists, Product Management and QA Teams to deliver reliable, high-performance systems

* Advanced degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience * 5+ years’ experience in Software Development, ideally with Java * Minimum 8 years working experience in several of the following: * Search (SOLR/Lucene) * Hadoop/MapReduce and other technologies for working with large volumes of data * Designing and implementing restful services * Working on a consumer-facing enterprise internet property * Designing large scale, high performance, distributed systems
