Summary
The Vice President of Land Acquisition is responsible for locating, researching, contracting, and obtaining entitlements of new development sites for collegiate housing.
Responsibilities
* Locate land suitable for acquisition and development. * Conduct the necessary market research and due diligence to identify potential sites for new collegiate housing developments. * Proactively reach out to land owners, brokers, municipal staff and consultants to generate new land leads and maintaining those contacts. * Tour subject properties and various sub-markets to gain insight into positioning and competitive landscape. * Serve as primary contact with property owners during negotiations and coordinate land entitlement and planning activities with Developers. * Source and underwrite collegiate housing development opportunities.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or Real Estate Development. * A minimum of 3 years in real estate land acquisitions underwriting and deal sourcing. * Fundamental real estate finance and valuation knowledge. * Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and create presentation materials. * Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel up to 60%.
