Summary
Primary Function Support the production through the efficient diagnosis and repair of complex mechanical, electrical & electronic equipment malfunctions. Provide Engineering assistance for the installation, layout design, fabrication, & debug of logic designs, including microprocessor and PLC's.
Responsibilities
* Handle varying degrees of complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic work assignments efficiently and frequently required to install and debug new equipment or make modifications to repair production machinery. * Assure that spare parts inventory of necessary electronic components is available & make required shop repairs. * Communicate with vendors in updating existing equipment with suitable replacement parts. * Required to complete and organize all tasks directed by existing maintenance system in an efficient and timely manner. * Must consistently meet prescribed safety, quality, production, and efficiency standards. * Maintains work area in accordance with 5S standards. Communicates process/mechanical abnormalities to Team Leader and Supervisor utilizing SAP Preventive Maintenance Documentation to facilitate corrections in a timely manner. * Maintains production, batch, and quality records as required. * Follows all Company safety/cGMP policies and guidelines. * Responsible for start up and shut down functions of all department equipment as dictated by production schedule. * Works in a cell made up of 2 – 10 colleagues. Maintains open communication with colleagues ensuring an environment of positive employee relations. Responsible for daily turnover communication between shifts with fellow Team Members and Management. * Successful completion of OJT assessment. Quality Control of materials as required (quarantine of material as required). Perform other duties as directed by Team Leader and/or Supervisor. * Required Skills and Experience * Must be proficient in utilizing electrical (480V & under) electronic test equipment for the purposes of debugging and repairing solid state equipment control (digital logic) systems. * Must be able to work from schematics, sketches, written & verbal instructions, & able to efficiently complete assignments in a timely manner under a minimum of supervision. * Must be proficient in writing and understanding equipment programming. * Required to work overtime/alternate schedules as business needs dictate.
Ideal Candidate
* Must be proficient in utilizing electrical (480V & under) electronic test equipment for the purposes of debugging and repairing solid state equipment control (digital logic) systems. * Must be able to work from schematics, sketches, written & verbal instructions, & able to efficiently complete assignments in a timely manner under a minimum of supervision. * Must be proficient in writing and understanding equipment programming. * Required to work overtime/alternate schedules as business needs dictate. **Preferred Skills and Experience** **Education:** * Technical School Electronics training or College Electronics training or 4 years equivalent Industrial and/or military electronics background. * Requires the use of commercial English, grammar and arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, including decimals and fractions; simple use of formulas, charts, tables, drawings specifications, schedules, wiring diagrams, together with the use of adjustable measuring instruments, graduates and the like requiring interpretation of their various applications; or the posting, preparation, interpretation, use and checking of reports, forms, records and comparable data.

Hours 2nd shift - 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm + shift premium of 25 cents 3rd shift - 11:00 pm to 7:00 am + shift premium of 35 cents 12 hour fixed – 7:00 pm to 7:00 am or 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Hourly Rate - $24.29

Working Conditions

Occasional lifting or moving of heavy weigh material weighing over 60 lbs required, assisted lift over 50 lbs.
