Email Marketing Specialist

Edelman Financial Services provides financial planning and investment management services to more than 28,000 individuals and families and manages more than $15 billion in assets.

This individual creates and executes HTML and text emails for the marketing team.

• Executing day-to-day operational tasks to support daily email schedule
• Utilizing our Email Service Provider’s marketing platform to build, test and deploy email campaigns
• Setting up A/B tests (subject line, creative, copy, etc.) on a regular basis
• Creating automated, personalized campaigns to drive engagement
• Updating automated and transactional campaigns seasonally
• Testing and QAing email campaigns to ensure quality
• Monitoring deliverability and following up on resulting issues
• Maintaining reports; compiling email data and lessons learned

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field preferred
• Minimum two years email marketing and programming experience
• Experience with Marketo Required
• Preferred background in Marketing and/or Communications
• Strong knowledge of HTML, particularly for building emails as well as cross-browser and email compatibility issues
• Strong Excel skills
• Email execution process management prowess, including experience coordinating with marketing, merchandising, creative, analytical and technical resources to support end-to-end delivery
• Experience with Dreamweaver, Litmus, email clients and data handling
• Adjust to fluctuating work load and deadlines
• Organize and manage time and resources; establish priorities
• Work on many projects simultaneously
• Ability to work with technical and business resources to execute email best practices, policies and procedures
• Experience in CAN-SPAM adherence, other regulations/laws related to privacy and email communications
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally
• Ability to successfully work in a team environment
