About EcoHealth Alliance
EcoHealth Alliance works at the intersection of ecosystem, animal and human health through local conservation programs and develops global health solutions to emerging diseases.
Responsibilities
- Help design and enhance the UI/UX of our data-driven web applications
- Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes of applications and their components that effectively communicate interaction and design ideas to developers
- Help with the implementation of designs using HTML, CSS and JavaScript (Jade, Stylus and CoffeeScript)
- Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback
- Assist with the visual branding of the tech team’s projects
- Help establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
- Content management of EHA website
Ideal Candidate
- Solid understanding of contemporary UI/UX design patterns
- Strong design sense and understanding of user behavior
- Experience designing user-centered, responsive, data-driven web applications
- Experience with typography, especially for the web
- Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design and wireframing tools
- Working knowledge of a JavaScript framework such as Meteor a plus
- A strong sense of team spirit and diplomacy
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluency in English
