We are seeking a Senior RF Engineer in product design, integration and test. This position will be located in our San Diego, California office. The candidate will closely with a team of hardware, software and systems engineers in the design of satellite terminals.
- RF and system design, including low level circuit design at the component level.
- The day-to-day interactions will be with team members, program management, purchasing, manufacturing groups, external suppliers and sub-contractors.
- Interactions amongst functional areas, other company divisions, outside customers, and functional peer groups of various management levels.
- BSEE and 8 years experience or a MSEE and 5 years of experience
- Experience in some of the following areas: receiver/transmitter hardware block level and/or chain level design and spreadsheet analysis, PLL/synthesizer design, GPS receiver design and PA design
- Experience in RF lab equipment, such as spectrum analyzer, vector network analyzer, vector signal generator, oscilloscope, power meter, signal source analyzer, etc. is desirable
- Experience with RF analysis tools (MathCAD, Matlab, Agilent)
- Experience using Cadence PCB tools
- Excel based tools
- Knowledge in some of the following: electromagnetics (fading, antenna theory, and propagation), Fourier analysis, and RF theory (S parameters, matching, noise figure, IIP3, stability, noise temperature, etc.)
