Summary
EAT Club is a food e-commerce startup that is revolutionizing the way people eat lunch at their office. Lunch is an increasingly important employee benefit and EAT Club's innovative approach, marrying technology, curated food and sophisticated logistics, offers employees quality and variety in their lunch options and cost savings for companies. The Product Designer will focus on designing user experiences around food, which is intrinsically delightful, emotional and personal - basically help our users make the choices to provide them with comfort, adventure, indulgence, or health, whichever one they seek.
Responsibilities
* Working directly with our engineering team to conceive of, design, and deploy new features and improving existing capabilities. * Finding the answers to design challenges no other company has solved before. * Interviewing customers to get essential feedback to improve future versions of EAT Club. * Giving and receiving design and branding feedback with fellow teammates. * Getting involved in defining our product strategy and roadmap. * Crafting thoughtful narratives around new features and the product as a whole.
Ideal Candidate
* 5-8 years of experience with making design decisions, creating internal design processes and best practices * An exceptional portfolio of (shipped) creative product design that showcases your interaction and visual design talents. * A passion for design and continual improvement. * The ability to move fluidly between user experience design and interface design. * Experience creating UI specs & wireframes, but the flexibility and willingness to move from idea, to whiteboard, to execution quickly. * Experience with making design decisions not only on your gut reaction but also with data and user testings as vital tools. * You know your platforms and design mediums well enough to know their constraints well. Have some development experience of your own.
