Senior Software Engineer

Earnest is a technology enabled lender that evaluates a person’s full education, employment, and financial profile.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'd be working with our technology stack which is well-organized and heavily-tested JavaScript. Server-side we run stateless, RESTful Node.JS services and a distributed task runner. Our client-side apps are statically built Angular.js SPAs using HAML and SASS. We believe in code reviews, pair programming and paying down technical debt. We are also actively exploring and investigating new languages and technologies to make our lives easier and deliver more powerful products

• You have experienced the pain of traditional banking, and the idea of solving it resonates with you
• You are an experienced engineer able to take the reigns of a product and steer technical direction
• You are passionate about creating well architected, robust and extensible software, and have been doing it for 5+ years
• You understand the differences between functional, interpreted and reflective languages, and you believe in choosing the right tool for the job
• You work best with others and enjoy mentoring junior engineers
