Quantitative Insights Analyst

Earnest is a technology enabled lender that evaluates a person’s full education, employment, and financial profile.

• Build data models for business intelligence
• Scope, spec, and implement KPI reporting for all the functions of the business (e.g. Product, Marketing, Risk, etc.)
• Develop and revise KPI metrics to increase business impact over time
• Collaborate with Business Analysts in developing tactical and strategic insights and standardizing calculations
• Advise prioritization and gather requirements for analytics projects
• Recruit more Analysts and mentor the entire company on performing analytics

Minimum 5 years experience in detailed data modeling/ analytics

Advanced mastery of SQL (e.g. making queries super efficient, keeping our library of SQL code, clean, well-commented, and well-organized)

Strong ability to communicate with a wide variety of business functions

Demonstrated ability to help teams and analysts translate ambiguous questions into semantically-meaningful, concrete data analysis

Confidence in making clear recommendations to senior stakeholders

Enthusiasm for learning new things and going deep into detailed data analysis

Familiarity with a statistical modeling language (e.g. R, Python)
