Senior Manager - Software Engineer

You will work with our passionate and talented Engineering Team to create, manage and maintain ETRADE Financial Trading, Investing and Banking Web Products. You and your team will work with cross functional Engineering and Product teams to understand consumer behavior and develop innovative user-interfaces for next generation of ETRADE platform. As the leader of Front End Development and Web Apps, you will be responsible for: * Creating, managing and maintaining E*TRADE web consumer facing applications. * Leading the UI team and collaborating with Product and Design team members to establish our product development strategy including platforms and tools, product features and functionality, timelines. * Encourage and execute an iterative approach to UI design. * Ensuring analytics are captured and used to drive data-driven UI decisions.

As the leader of Front End Development and Web Apps, you should have: * Proven experience in developing end-user applications on mobile web and desktop web. * A strong understanding of UI Front End development principles and practices. * Confidence working with back-end architects and engineers to validate your development choices and provide feedback on APIs. * 15 - 20 years of success in managing UI developers, as well as a history of effective collaboration with Product Management, UX and Visual Design teams. * Technical mastery and in-depth understanding of all current UX/UI technologies as they relate web and mobile development including strong understanding of accessibility, analytics and A/B testing frameworks. * A track record of working with Product to translate storyboards into designs and performing rapid prototyping including wire frames, navigation and high fidelity visual updates. * A strong bias for user testing, design validation and usability testing. * Proven ability to develop and deliver on time while managing cost. * Competency with budgets, staffing and project management of short and long-running projects involving complex software and interfacing with partners on major new product launches. * Ability to balance multiple competing priorities and apply astute business judgment when making trade-offs. * Strong hands-on ability and desire to roll up your sleeves and produce product, evaluated tools, diagnose and solve technical problems yourself and with your team. * Excellent domain knowledge of web application industry, object-oriented software engineering principles and web application design using HTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks (AngularJs, Node.js),JSON, RESTful APIs , Continuous Integration and delivery. * Data driven approach to make key strategic and tactical decisions with a view to what is most appropriate, reasonable, timely and realistic. * Strong communication skills - both written and verbal. * Ability to blend right in with highly functional team working with energy and endurance during project stretch phases, taking pride in owning technology delivery. * ?
