Summary
The IT Project Manager I will work with various stakeholders (internal and external) to manage technology projects. Ensures that technology projects get delivered on time and within budget. Will serve as primary contact for all project-related questions.
Responsibilities
**Principal Accountabilities** (Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract.) * Assists with the designing, developing and maintaining of the project plan, schedule, budget and tasks for assigned projects * Acts as primary interface between business units, technology teams and support teams (internal, external and vendors) and acts as an escalation point for issues * Works with limited supervision to manage small and medium scale technology projects * Ensures on-time quality delivery of the software development life cycle * Leverages excellent written communications skills to complete projects related SDLC required documentation * Works closely with business and technology team to gain consensus and approval of each phase of the development life cycle requirements * Manages stakeholder expectations as well as change control process and project budget * Coordinates system deployments with task such as Requirements Gathering, Development, QA, User Acceptance Testing roll out and product adoption * Ensures that project deliverables are delivered on time, under, on budget and are of quality * Works with customer and development to negotiate project requirements * Performs other duties as assigned
Ideal Candidate
**Knowledge & Skills** * Project management and leadership qualities used to manage multiple projects at one time with the ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment * Strong Technical background * Project management experience; Project Charters, managing project budgets, experience with work breakdown structures, integrated project planning and management, coordinating BA, development, QA, and UAT effort * Strong organizational skills, analytical skills and a highly professional attitude * Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team * Understanding and utilization of enterprise software systems * Extensive skills in MS Project, MS Visio, MS Excel and other job related applications * Ability to manage and balance multiple tasks and priorities * Basic knowledge of Government Contracts and the Federal Acquisitions Regulations * Excellent verbal and written communications skills to present project status to senior level management * Must be able to secure and maintain SECRET Security Clearance * Additional knowledge/skills may be required by contract or assignment **Experience & Education** * Bachelor’s degree in an associated discipline. Two (2) years experience in project management or related field may be substituted for each year of the four (4) years of college. * Typically two (2) to four (4) years experience with Information Technology environment with strong background in software and infrastructure that includes two (2) years experience in a supervisory or project management role. * PMP Certification is a plus but not required. * Additional experience/education may be required by contract or assignment **Physical Requirements/Working Environment** * Normal office environment **Travel** * Ability to travel domestically and internationally
