Summary
The Depot Manager provides oversight, coordination and management of subcontractors performing depot/MRO maintenance activities, both airframe and engines. The Depot Manager also is the interface for depot-related activities with the program office, subcontractors and customer representatives.
Responsibilities
* Acts to coordinate maintenance activities between the program office, subcontractor and the customer representatives related to Depot/MRO maintenance. * Coordinates with program planning and the subcontractors to schedule maintenance events for the most effective performance. * Involved in pre-induction planning efforts with program planning, the subcontractor MRO team and logistics contractors to ensure adequate preparation and resources are applied to attain schedule performance. * Regularly meets with and validates maintenance performance based upon the maintenance plan and arising issues. * Acts as the direct contact for MRO events, over and above discussions/approvals and contract reporting. * Performs aircraft induction and delivery requirements in conjunction with the subcontractor and quality organization. * Periodically validates and audits subcontractor compliance with government and FAA requirements of the contract. * Liaisons with all departments and supporting subcontractors to achieve scheduled goals. * Direct subordinates remotely in support of maintenance events while not at the site.
Ideal Candidate
**Experience & Education** * Bachelor’s degree in an associated discipline a plus; * 10 or more years performing project management functions involving heavy maintenance on large commercial aircraft and/or powerplants. **Knowledge & Skills** * Strong aviation technical knowledge including aircraft heavy maintenance checks involving commercial aircraft. * Strong mechanical/technical aviation experience to understand and take actions necessary for successful heavy maintenance and modification oversight. * Ability to work effectively with MRO project management to attain quality and schedule success. * Ability to communicate with the program, subcontractor and customer representatives in a professional and effective manner. * Strong background in the maintenance of FAA type-certificated aircraft. **Physical Requirements/Working Environment** * Ability to work under pressure and continuously meet deadlines.

Working Conditions

Travel between subcontractor locations and the program office, as required, to support maintenance efforts.
