Summary
The Aircraft Maintenance Lead is responsible for the day-to-day aircraft maintenance operation and for reporting any and all issues/concerns in regards to maintenance, maintenance production, personnel, and facilities to the Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor.
Responsibilities
* Lead daily workload for respective area of responsibility * Interact with government officials and Maintenance Supervisor * Brief production status at production meetings and to Maintenance Supervisor * Conduct periodic site safety evaluations * Conduct floor check audits of timesheets and ensures all timesheets are accurate and accounted for * Conducts roll call and distribute information pertinent to job completion to all employees * Prepare written work schedules based on established guidelines, procedures, and priorities * First line approval for time off of employees assigned * Required to participate in exercises in support of deployment scenarios * Ensure employee participation of good housekeeping, site FOD walks, and work area clean-up * Coordinate all PPE requirements to ensure assigned area stock levels are sufficient * Responsible for tool program of assigned workers * Direct skilled technicians in daily performance of their duties * Ensure employee training is current and accurately scheduled * Perform other duties as assigned * Ensure maintenance documents are properly completed and documented in the MOBs MIS maintenance database.
Ideal Candidate
**Experience & Education** * High school education or equivalent. * Two (2) years in an aviation maintenance environment * Previous supervisory/management experience preferred **Knowledge & Skills** * Working knowledge of fire protection codes and system, building and electrical codes, and OSHA and company requirements * Knowledge of safe working techniques and procedures * Ability to plan and schedule work requirements * Proficient in use of computers * Basic knowledge of aircraft forms and logbook annotation * Basic knowledge of aircraft Aviation Maintenance Manuals, Technical Orders, and Job Guides **Physical Requirements/Working Environment** * Ability to lift 50 lbs * Ability to walk long distances * Ability to stand for several hours * Ability to climb ladders and stairs * May be required to travel and work off station in support of maintenance recovery or deployed operations as required
