UI Engineer, Internet Intelligence Engineering

This individual will be a member of the Engineering organization supporting the Internet Intelligence (II) team. This person will work with the product and business teams on developing and designing front-end systems for the next-generation Internet Intelligence product line.

This person will collaborate with product stakeholders, UX designers and data services engineers to deliver II features and functionality while providing balance between business needs and technical implementations.?

• Implement and support UI and visualizations
• Perform troubleshooting and coordinate problem resolution activities with other support teams
• Develop test plans/cases to be used in regression testing for the UI
• Establish and maintain productive relationships with peer organizations

• At least 3 years experience in web application development
• Proficient in HTML5, Javascript, CSS
• Knowledge of multiple programming languages: such as Python, Ruby, or Java
• Experience with JSON-based APIs
• Experience with Linux/BSD operating systems, such as Ubuntu and FreeBSD

Nice to have

• Experience with ECMAScript 6, React, Backbone.js, and Less
• Experience with a Python web framework such as Django
• Knowledge of network stack & internet protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, and DNS
• Knowledge of high performance and high availability systems: Varnish, Nginx, Netty
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries and within groups
• Experience in working with remote development teams
