Summary
This individual will be a senior member of the Engineering organization supporting Digital Business Engineering. Primarily focused on delivering the implementation of Identity management with an emphasis on Authorization and Authentication. Day-to-day activities will range from participating in Scrum ceremony, to applications design and solutions development. The ideal candidate will be self motivated and possess a wide range of skills and experience. This individual must have the ability to understand business needs, working closely with product owners, and strike a good balance between business goals and technical implementations. This individual will also be fairly autonomous and be expected to contribute to a wide range of high-impact projects across the organization. The Ideal candidate will have proven industry experience implementing centralized identity solutions and web component integrations for mid to large size companies.
Responsibilities
* Implement and support Dyn Identity and Access Management Services, Backend APIs and various integration points. * Analyze business requirements, interpreting those to develop technical requirements, user stories and, eventually deployable systems. * Evaluate various implementations to determine compliance with business requirements and external specifications. * Perform troubleshooting and coordinate problem resolution activities with engineering and support teams * Develop test plans/cases to be used in verifying documented requirements. * Establish and maintain productive relationships with peer organizations. * Other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
* Demonstrated ability to deliver the items listed in the major duties section. * At least 3 years experience with Linux operating systems, such as Ubuntu and FreeBSD. * At least 5 years experience in application development. * Experience coding in C, Java, Python, and or Go, (Python preferred) * Experience with web page design for wide range of browsers (IE, Firefox, Safari, etc) * General knowledge of the following categories of network systems: Multiprocessing, Threading, Distributed systems, Load Balancing and High Availability. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Demonstrated ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries and within groups. * Must be a flexible, resourceful, team player that is able to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment. * Creative thinking and critical analysis are essential. **Additional Skills** * Experience implementing SAML and OAuth2 systems * Knowledge of administering databases and application servers such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Apache, Tomcat, and Jetty * Knowledge of caching servers such as Varnish or nginx * Ability to develop shell and Perl scripts. * Knowledge of Internet protocols and standards, including DNS, REST, SSL and HTTP
