Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst, Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis, is primarily responsible for workforce planning, supporting the quarterly earnings process, financial measurement of key business projects, and the weekly DSW Inc. P&L projection process. Reports to the Sr Manager, Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis.
Responsibilities
* Support annual Budget, Long Range Planning, and weekly Projection processes * Prepare and maintain detailed financial models * Communicate timelines as needed * Gain alignment on weekly projection changes and ensure timely and accurate upload of information within Hyperion Planning * Business Project Planning: * Serve as a finance resource to business partners in the development of business cases to support key projects. * Maintain the financial model utilized to measure the costs and benefits of key business projects * Provide financial support and analysis to key business leaders on an ad-hoc basis Partner with the HR department to project and budget existing and open headcount for all corporate home office employees, including salaries, 401K, payroll taxes and bonus. * Act as an analytical resource/partner to all departments for matters related to headcount and payroll. * Coordinate the preparation of earnings support materials on a quarterly basis for key stakeholders. * Perform various administrative duties within Hyperion Planning as the backup Administrator
Ideal Candidate
* Lives the DSW Values of passion, accountability, collaboration, and humility * Superior Excel and financial modeling skills. Proficient in PowerPoint and Word. * Minimum of 4-5 years work experience in a fast paced environment (retail experience preferred). Superior analytical and quantitative skills. * Ability to communicate and influence others by translating complex data into easily-understood ideas and recommendations. * Takes initiative and is curious, driven, flexible/adaptable. Detail oriented. * Manages multiple projects simultaneously and collaborates cross functionally * Conducts responsibilities with urgency and a high level of accountability * Project and workload management skills * Prior experience with Hyperion Planning is valued but not required * Prior experience with the retail method of accounting is valued but not required * Analytical undergraduate degree required. MBA preferred.
