As a key part of the Drumroll team, this position works collaboratively with the rest of the team in the development of the strategic and creative vision, then champions the resulting work to be outstanding in all ways.
Responsibilities
* Although we were born from digital, we are not a digital agency. Exceptional brand experiences can happen anywhere. As such, the right person for this gig will bring a great deal of experience across a vast range of platforms and channels. Though our work is not limited to digital, a deep understanding and first-hand experience across the dominant digital platforms is a must. Specific areas of interest include brand creation, branded content, digital ads and product user interface, Web site, social, mobile, and email (promotional, lifecycle). Beyond digital, traditional platforms such as TV, print, retail are also of high interest. Our goals don’t end at the borders, so international experience is a plus. * The role of Creative Director is expected to represent and champion a standard of excellence for our work, our thinking and our culture. The ideal candidate will be a disgustingly skilled and imaginative creative, with a strong understanding of business (including working with, or as part of, agency leadership and driving agency initiatives) and experience with Fortune 500 brands and demands. * Moreover, they must have extraordinary leadership skills, influencing performance by their own exceptional, hands-on, example as much as clearly articulated expectations. Our collaborative process is a horizontal one, thus as a Creative, this role must possess a delicate admixture of confidence and humility, enabling them to collaborate as equals with the entire team, and get in the trenches when needed. * As a Director, they must also be equipped to give respectful but productive feedback in order to elevate the thinking and the final work, serving as mentor throughout the process. They will know when to light a fire under people and how to light a fire in them. Those are all serious asks, but we are even more serious about keeping it light, so only candidates that like to have fun will be seriously considered. Seriously.

Xbox is cool, 8-bit Nintendo will forever be your first love. * At least 3-5 years of experience managing/leading creative teams at the ACD level * Experience working with national brands and dynamic client needs (international brands a plus) * Proven ability to drive exceptional work and overcome common industry obstacles * Exceptional creative problem solver * Proven ability and eagerness to mentor and develop team members * Robust understanding of current digital platforms (Web site, social, mobile, email, branding, branded content, digital ads, etc.) * Proficiency in all the major Adobe creative tools, standard presentation tools and office software packages * Desire to actively lead the growth of a small agency * Completion of a bachelors, portfolio or masters program in relevant field
