The Lead of Corporate Accounting will be a key member of the Accounting Operations team and will be hands on coordinating the company’s world-wide month-end financial close processes. This position will will lead the inter-company and foreign exchange processes. Additionally this role will be key in developing policies and procedures that support the accounting for current global operations and for future global expansion. This full-time role will interface daily with internal departments and upper management and the ideal candidate is detail-orientated and enjoys working in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
Responsibilities
* Manage accounting operations teams in San Francisco, CA * Manage the intercompany, consolidations and related monthly close processes * Participate in the development of strategies to improve accounting operations effectiveness, including the development and execution of organizational, process and system changes. * Work closely with tax department to develop policies to calculate, prepare and record transfer pricing journal entries * Initiate and develop policies and procedures as needed. * Manage the career development of your staff and other professionals across the finance organization. * Monitor foreign exchange exposures and ensure accuracy of entered foreign currency balances * Own the set-up of new entities within Netsuite including coordinating with tax and treasury on capitalization, intercompany loans, and intercompany agreements. Maintain documentation on purpose of the entity and assist with functional currency documentation * Assist with streamlining accounting operations and automating financial processes * Develop intercompany and fx policies and procedures * Assist with financial audit preparation/support * Preparation for Sarbanes Oxley compliance * Ad hoc projects as necessary
Ideal Candidate
* 5–10 years’ experience in accounting with a mix of both a public accounting firm and top tier tech company * Leadership and people-management experience preferred * Top performer that is willing to dive into the details, and looking to gain experience and grow with Dropbox * Advanced knowledge of US GAAP including consolidations, foreign currency, revaluation and elimination with strong problem solving skills to deal with complex transactions * Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external business partners * Detail-oriented with great organizational skills, but comfortable with ambiguity * Execution focused with the ability to take individual responsibility for delivering quality work in a timely manner * Strong communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with all areas and levels of the company * CPA preferred
