Summary

The Corporate Accounting Manager will be a key member of the Accounting Operations team and will be hands on in leading and coordinating the company’s world-wide month-end financial close processes. This person will oversee the general ledger area and will develop a team of individual contributors. Additionally this role will be key in developing policies and procedures that support accounting for current global operations and for future global expansion.You will interface daily with internal departments and upper management and the ideal candidate is detail-orientated and enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-growing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage accounting operations teams in San Francisco, CA
  • Help lead the monthly and quarterly close processes
  • Work cross functionally with FP&A on quarterly accruals
  • Review and approve accounting journal entries and reconciliations related to cash, prepaids and non-trade accounts receivable
  • Oversee quarterly and year end audits
  • Participate in the development of strategies to improve accounting operations effectiveness, including the development and execution of organizational, process and system changes.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of financial systems
  • Lead the career development of your staff and other professionals across the finance organization.
  • Assist with streamlining accounting operations and automating financial processes
  • Business partnering with various internal teams and external business partners
  • Assist with financial audit preparation/support
  • Ad hoc projects as necessary
Ideal Candidate
  • CPA with 5-10 years’ experience in accounting with a mix of both a public accounting firm and premier tech company
  • Leadership and people-management skills
  • Top performer that is willing to dive into the details, and looking to gain experience and grow with Dropbox
  • Knowledge of US GAAP including consolidations, foreign currency, revaluation and elimination with strong problem solving skills to deal with complex transactions
  • Experience with lease or fixed asset accounting is a plus
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external business partners
  • Detail-oriented with great organizational skills, but comfortable with ambiguity
  • Execution focused with the ability to take individual responsibility for delivering quality work in a timely manner
  • Strong communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with all areas and levels of the company
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
