Summary
Dow Jones is looking for a high energy, results oriented sales executive to manage the commercial business development group selling to enterprise accounts in Education, Retail and Amenity channels. This position would be responsible for both print and digital goals for The WSJ, Barron's and NY Post in North America and support our global efforts in EMEA & APAC. This position would report directly to our VP, Global Commercial Sales and be responsible for developing and delivering the business development team's goals, objectives and results.
Responsibilities
* He/she will be responsible for growing the circulation of the Dow Jones publications with special emphasis on print, but including digital by: * Responsible for managing day-to-day duties of the National Sales Managers – including recruiting, hiring, training and motivating the NSMs * Responsible for clearly defining the sales expectations to NSMs and coaching them in their sales efforts so that they meet their sales goals * Working with NASM to develop effective sales strategies for each national account or prospective new national account * Oversee and/or develop presentations and proposals to support selling to national accounts like Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt and Starwood * Keep circulation management informed on all pertinent sales activity * Work with the Marketing Segment Manager to implement and develop marketing strategies for growing business at existing accounts and future prospects. * Support finance and VP with budgeting and forecasting needs throughout the year * Collaborating across all departments within Dow Jones & News Corp to advance sales opportunities for circulation benefitting all Dow Jones publications
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's Degree * 7+ years of high level sales management experience Ø Solid newspaper and/or hotel industry knowledge * Project management background Ø Ability to work in a fast pace, high demand environment * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Possesses a strong computer skill's set * Travel 30%
