Summary
As part of the Digital Strategy and Operations team, the Ad Campaign Performance Strategist is responsible for ensuring digital ad campaign success through meeting client KPIs and objectives. Key projects the strategist will be tasked with will focus on WSJ digital audience development as well as social strategies for custom content. The Performance Strategist will partner closely with WSJ Custom Studios, Campaign Operations, and Planning, Strategy & Sales teams to ensure quality campaign delivery and client satisfaction. The analyst will have regular communication with these teams, as well as with internal and external clients, in order to ensure campaign goals are clearly understood and reported upon from campaign launch to completion. Furthermore, the strategist will have the opportunity to work with some of the top digital analytics partners in the industry and use their tools to fulfill client needs. Primary responsibilities include tracking ad delivery, creating performance reports, optimizing campaigns, analyzing third party reporting, and billing reconciliation. The analyst should be able to synthesize data from various sources and report it back to the client in a meaningful and helpful manner, providing actionable insights that the client can use to improve current and future campaigns. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and attention to detail. The candidate must be flexible, dedicated to client satisfaction, and team-oriented. The Performance Strategist must also possess superb time-management skills and the ability to multitask.
Responsibilities
* Monitor delivery and optimize campaigns based on clients success metrics * Interact with internal & external clients and speak to the details of campaign performance. * Develop a deep understanding of the client's campaign goals * Audience development for WSJ digital and creation of social strategies for custom content * Partnering closely with digital analytic vendors to make full use of their resources in order to provide best-in-class reporting to advertisers * Proactive daily analysis of first and third party ad delivery * Coordinate weekly meetings with Sales and Operations to review campaign performance * Create custom campaign performance reports * Manage and be accountable for billing reconciliation and reporting.
Ideal Candidate
* 2 years minimum of online advertising and analytical experience. * Ability to multi-task and work efficiently within a fast-paced environment * Ability to work under tight deadlines * Understanding of order management systems. OP1 and DSM a plus. * Strong organizational and time management skills. * Strong written and communication skills * Knowledge of 3rd party vendors (Mediamind, Pointroll, DFA, Atlas, etc). * Ideal candidate is someone who possesses the ability to take initiative and drive projects with minimal supervision. * Understanding of ad-serving technologies. DFP/DFA, Admarvel, Atlas a plus. * BA/BS required
