Summary
Doosan GridTech currently has an outstanding career opportunity for an Engineering Project Manager. Use your engineering and project management skills to help deliver next-generation distributed energy resource solutions, including energy storage and solar, for the electric power system, and see your solutions deployed with real-world customers who are incorporating distributed energy resources into the grid. We require strong engineering project management skills and experience with projects that focus on solving real-world electric utility problems. Desired capabilities are a strong plus.
Responsibilities
* Manage design, schedule and budget for megawatt-scale, grid-connected energy storage projects. * Collaborate with vendors, partners and Doosan GridTech team to deliver solutions to customer problems. * Set up meetings with customers and partners, develop meeting agendas, and drive the meetings. * Coordinate delivery of key project materials such as design documents, drawings, and manuals. * Efficiently and effectively track issues throughout the life of active projects. * Author customer-facing documents in support of systems integration work (e.g. test plans). * Manage the change order process with customers and vendors. * Work with Doosan GridTech marketing and product planning in evaluating new business opportunities and new products.
Ideal Candidate
**Required** * Strong project management skills. * Experience working on electric energy and/or power systems engineering projects. * Knowledge of electric utility substation layout and distribution system design. * Knowledge of utility protection and control systems. * Ability to work with a small, fast-paced team to deliver customer value. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Willingness to travel periodically. * Understanding of the dynamics of introducing distributed energy resources into electric grid operations. **Desired** * Knowledge of utility Energy Management Systems (EMS) and Distribution Management System (DMS) operations. * Knowledge of utility-scale energy storage systems. * Knowledge of utility communication systems, including SCADA. * Knowledge of utility equipment specifications. * Knowledge of utility purchasing practices. * Experience in regulations and health, safety and environment issues. * Experience in distributed energy resource (solar or energy storage) operations or interconnection within an electric utility. **Qualifications** * 3+ years demonstrated experience in project management. Experience managing large, complex electric utility projects strongly preferred. * BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related Electrical Power Systems field.
