Summary

As an Experience Designer, you will work across our consumer facing platforms. You will be responsible for developing product and feature improvements with an eye toward the overall brand experience collaborating with other Experience Design team members. You will collaborate with an amazing team of visual designers, product managers, and subject matter experts who are dedicated to the future of men's grooming.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct competitive audits and analysis.
  • Brainstorm innovative ideas.
  • Working with our UX researcher to plan and conduct research activities such as usability testing, persona development and need-finding.
  • Create all project necessary documentation including ecosystems, user flows, wireframes, sitemaps, user scenarios, functional specifications, navigation schemas and clickable prototypes.
  • Identify opportunities for improving the overall user experience with DSC both digital and physical.
  • Participate in user experience thought leadership within the company.
  • Conduct sound, evidence-based arguments to support design decisions.
Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in design-related discipline: Interaction or Interface design; Architecture; Human-Computer Interaction; Service Design; Design Planning; Graphic Design; Communications with ideally a Masters.
  • 1+yrs experience at an agency, consulting or In-house experience.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal) are required.
  • Must be a self-starter who will bring original ideas and fresh approaches to each project they work on.
  • Detail-oriented and highly developed organizational skills including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent understanding and knowledge of User Centered Design principles and methods.
  • Strong self-management skills as well as ability to work as a contributing member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Fluency in industry best practices with the ability to communicate decisions made.
  • Proficiency in Sketch, InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator.
  • Proficiency at prototyping in code or using programs like Proto.io, Justinmind or Invision.
  • Familiarity with software technologies and platforms such as Android, iOS, HTML5, CSS, Javascript, etc.
