UX/UI Designer

- Design, refine and iterate to create the best user experiences for our web products - Collaborate with cross-functional product team to explore, define, plan and execute product features - Drive user research and facilitate usability tests - Define user task flows and generate wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity visual designs, specifications and assets for user stories - Maintain visual guidelines and patterns to ensure consistent representation of the DNAinfo and Neighborhood Square brands

- A design degree - 4+ years of professional web and interactive design experience - A passion for simple, beautiful, usable design - A portfolio that demonstrates a clean, refined design aesthetic and a strong understanding of user-centered design - Experience designing content-heavy, responsive products - Excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to clearly articulate design decisions - Relentless attention to detail - Proficiency in Adobe CS, Omnigraffle, and other tools for documenting user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups and prototypes - A working knowledge of HTML,CSS, etc.
