Lead Software Engineer

DITTO is the first subscription business for designer eyewear and licensor of its proprietary, patented 3D virtual try-on technology. Customers can rent an extensive collection of designer sunglasses and prescription glasses and create a DITTO, a video of their face from their phone or webcam to virtually try-on glasses to see if they fit and look great in 180-degree views before they select them.

We are looking for a lead software engineer with strong infrastructure background to help us build our new product - DittoIQ. DittoIQ is a unique SaaS solution the combines a recommendation engine for glasses with state of the art facial analysis technology. There are a lot of challenging problems to solve in order to make DittoIQ scalable, cost-efficient and secure. Our goal is to build a UX similar to ones that you would find in Sci-Fi movies, combine it with latest and greatest machine learning algorithms and package it into a scalable SaaS solution.

Our technological stack is: Python / C++ / Django / ZeroMQ / ELK / Amazon AWS.

• Experience in computer vision algorithms, preferably running on Linux or Mac
• Familiarity with 3d reconstruction, optical tracking, object detection and recognition – all the way to underlying math
• Solid understanding of statistics, and of randomized algorithms
• Good grasp of modern machine learning is a plus
• Experience with AWS, shell scripting, and configuration management systems is a plus
• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics or Math or equivalent work experience
