Responsibilities
Lead development and implementation of control system designs or enhancements. Determine functional and detail system requirements. Perform engineering analysis. Verify design compliance with applicable codes and standards. Provide technical supervision for equipment fabrication, installation and commissioning efforts. Verify system performance through experience and performance testing. Work with maintenance and operating partners to develop equipment sustainment and operating procedures. Mentor other engineers and interns in developing fundamental engineering skills sets.
Ideal Candidate
* Proven minimum seven (7) years direct experience in electrical/controls engineering within the industrial controls automation industry. * Demonstrated subject matter expertise with open and closed-loop feedback control systems, programmable logic controllers (PLC’s), relay logic, electric motors (AC and DC), motor controllers (variable frequency, DC, stepper and servo drives), power conditioning and distributed control networks. * Demonstrated, timely field troubleshooting experience including solution development and implementation in the industrial controls, automati or transportation industries. * Demonstrated experience working in multi-engineering discipline efforts including design, installation, testing and sustaining of safety critical systems and equipment. * Proven knowledge and utilization of National Electric Code (NEC), NFPA 79 and UL 508A codes and standards. * Demonstrated proficiency documenting engineering design information in AutoCAD or equivalent. * Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing Windows based Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills. * Demonstrated, successful, experience prioritizing and performing multiple, concurrent, engineering tasks. * This position will require working schedule flexibility including the ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift, and weekends. **Preferred Qualifications** * Proven EIT or active professional Engineering (PE) license in the State of Florida. * Demonstrated experience in ride and show control systems including safety critical applications for the entertainment industry. * Demonstrated experience with software programming including ladder logic (AB or Siemens) and C with real-time operating systems. * Demonstrated knowledge of PC and Network systems including hardware, switches/routers, wireless, cabling/fiber communication, IP configuration, network security and general troubleshooting. * Demonstrated experience partnering across multiple disciplines and organizations while managing the requirements and expectations of multiple, diverse, stakeholders. **Required Education** * Bachelor’s or Masters’ degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering.
