Summary
The Strategic Marketing Analyst will directly influence the future of the DISH business by shaping marketing strategy and driving performance through quantitative forecasting, direct response modeling, and support of special projects. You will evaluate existing and proposed marketing strategies to develop both strategic and granular forecasting insights and recommendations. We’re looking for the best and brightest strategic and analytic minds with the capability and desire to position themselves and the DISH business for rapid growth.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will combine proven analytical capabilities with excellent communication skills to be able to frame a business initiative, understand what data are needed as well as most pertinent, and work with subject matter experts to develop strong recommendations and action plans. Primary responsibilities will be focused on modeling and reporting, with secondary responsibilities including marketing unit support and ad hoc projects. * Generating weekly forecasts and reporting combined with insightful analysis to drive strategic decisions throughout the organization * Supporting Direct Response campaign strategy development, campaign test and measurement design and post-campaign analysis * Using various quantitative and qualitative techniques to build performance reports, analyze data and provide actionable insights and recommendations * Partnering with key internal clients and agencies to ask and answer questions related to DISH’s customers, prospective customers, strategy, available data, and competitive situation * Managing multiple concurrent projects and deliverables from multiple team members. Leading and presenting cross-functional projects * Contributing to ongoing marketing systems development and process improvement
Ideal Candidate
* 4+ years of experience in a highly analytical setting * Strong quantitative, statistical, strategic thinking, and analytical skills * Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal clients on a long term basis * Ability to independently frame analysis, source data and drive to results, often in an ambiguous environment. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a high pressure environment * High level of Microsoft Office skills are required with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as a working knowledge of statistical analysis tools, data warehouses, and relational databases * SAS/R, SQL, and Tableau experience preferred
