Summary
This position leads DISH’s IT Operations Organization which Architects, Implements, and Supports the Infrastructure that supports our Business and our Enterprise. Reporting to the CIO, you are responsible for driving a fast-paced environment, accelerating your team’s professional growth, and adapting the team’s solution delivery to support a diverse and changing business environment.
Responsibilities
The VP of IT Operations and Infrastructure candidate must possess 1) exceptional delivery and strategy skills; 2) strong problem solving expertise; 3) strong communications skills; 4) a deep interest in developing team members’ professional skills; and 5) strong experience and vision in Infrastructure Architecture, Dev / Ops, Data Center and Application Support disciplines. In this capacity you will lead a 400-person team and work directly with various departments across DISH to assess opportunities and design and deliver creative, cost-effective solutions to achieve business objectives and desired outcomes. As a vital member of the DISH Executive team, you will be an innovative and forward-looking technologist, a problem solver and a credible and respected thought leader capable of fostering, embodying and sustaining a tone of innovation, transformation and high performance within the organization. **Representative duties include:** * Lead and grow DISH’s IT Operation / Infrastructure / Architecture teams, ensuring strong alignment with our key business goals and needs * Stay abreast of new technologies and issues in the global ecosystem, including competitive technologies, platforms and associated solutions * Grow the team’s competencies through successful employee recruitment, retention, training and professional development * Establish and manage the department budget * Build and maintain the company’s implementation management systems, including: * Integrated, cross-project timelines * Standardized engagement workflows and configuration templates * Implementation team resource allocation processes * Ongoing strategic initiative development and prioritization * Set overall technology strategies for Network, COTS applications, Telephony, Service Management, Call Center, Systems (both desktop, laptop, mobile, and server) * Set overall Infrastructure architecture direction including technology selection, solution design, and partner strategies * Oversees the delivery of hundreds of Application and Infrastructure projects per year through collaborative and agile delivery methodologies *

* Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and retain top talent * Experience managing large teams of technical professionals in a fast-paced environment supporting numerous, complex projects **Technical Experience In:** * Enterprise Solutions / Systems, Backup and Storage * Both Private and Public Cloud Expertise * Data Center Operations * Call Center Support * COTS Application Support * Service Management (Service Desk, Network Operations Center, Mobile Devices) * Network Architect and Operations * Telephony Operations * End User / Customer Support * Dev / Ops / Middleware Support * Setting Enterprise Standards for PC’s, Laptops, Mobile Devices, and Architecting Solutions for each of these areas above * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Master’s preferred); 10+ years of experience including 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience * At least 2+ years in an executive leadership role in a mid-to-large size corporation * Apply for this job online * Refer this job to a friend * Share on your newsfeed
