Summary

This position has been created to foster penetration of new accounts within Service Provider and Enterprise Segments and drive new sales closures.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for Direct sales of Telx’s product and services
  • Responsible for building and cultivating prospect relationships to generate sales opportunities
  • Responsible for following up on leads generated by Marketing as well as generating new leads as required to meet sales quota
  • Responsible for working with existing customers to extend and expand their business with Telx.
  • Must maintain an up-to-date funnel and provide weekly forecast updates to sales management
  • Must manage data for new and prospective clients in Salesforce.com, ensuring all activity is logged and information is accurate
  • Meets and exceeds all Growth Account metrics including:

    • Lead generation quota
    • Drive sales to closure
    • Bookings quota achieved
    • Revenue quota achieved
Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 3 to 5 years of a successful track record in sales in Telecommunications or a related field
  • Ability to generate new leads and close new customers
  • Ability to foster strong customer relationships
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization. Must be able to negotiate and/or influence others to gain support for the company's needs as they change.
  • Strong computer skills including Salesforce.com experience
