Summary
This position has been created to foster penetration of new accounts within Service Provider and Enterprise Segments and drive new sales closures.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for Direct sales of Telx’s product and services * Responsible for building and cultivating prospect relationships to generate sales opportunities * Responsible for following up on leads generated by Marketing as well as generating new leads as required to meet sales quota * Responsible for working with existing customers to extend and expand their business with Telx. * Must maintain an up-to-date funnel and provide weekly forecast updates to sales management * Must manage data for new and prospective clients in Salesforce.com, ensuring all activity is logged and information is accurate * Meets and exceeds all Growth Account metrics including: * Lead generation quota * Drive sales to closure * Bookings quota achieved * Revenue quota achieved
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s Degree required * 3 to 5 years of a successful track record in sales in Telecommunications or a related field * Ability to generate new leads and close new customers * Ability to foster strong customer relationships * Strong presentation and facilitation skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization. Must be able to negotiate and/or influence others to gain support for the company's needs as they change. * Strong computer skills including Salesforce.com experience
