This position has been created to foster penetration of new accounts within Service Provider and Enterprise Segments and drive new sales closures.
- Responsible for Direct sales of Telx’s product and services
- Responsible for building and cultivating prospect relationships to generate sales opportunities
- Responsible for following up on leads generated by Marketing as well as generating new leads as required to meet sales quota
- Responsible for working with existing customers to extend and expand their business with Telx.
- Must maintain an up-to-date funnel and provide weekly forecast updates to sales management
- Must manage data for new and prospective clients in Salesforce.com, ensuring all activity is logged and information is accurate

Meets and exceeds all Growth Account metrics including:
- Lead generation quota
- Drive sales to closure
- Bookings quota achieved
- Revenue quota achieved
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 3 to 5 years of a successful track record in sales in Telecommunications or a related field
- Ability to generate new leads and close new customers
- Ability to foster strong customer relationships
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization. Must be able to negotiate and/or influence others to gain support for the company's needs as they change.
- Strong computer skills including Salesforce.com experience
