Accounting Specialist

Dex Media is dedicated to working with local businesses to provide marketing solutions that will help them win, keep and grow their business and be successful. There was a time when all that was needed to promote a business was a listing in the local newspaper. However, times have changed. Today’s local businesses often find themselves in direct competition with national chains or subjected to the pricing whims of local on-demand companies.

This position is responsible for the monthly closing of the books and records of the Company, including journal entries, account reconciliations, SOX Controls, Financial Statement preparation and support of audits.

• Prepare and process journal entries, including revenue, payroll, employee benefits, treasury, fixed assets, capitalized software and expense accruals
• Analysis of Managerial financial results including support schedules
• Prepare Account Reconciliations and analysis to ensure accuracy of account balances
• Support Audit/Review of Company financial records, including externally reported documents (10-K, 10-Q)Analysis of Managerial financial results including support schedules
• Prepare SOX documentation and test of key controls

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 2- 4 years related work experience
• CPA Desired
