Product Development Principal Engineer- Austin We are hiring a Principal Software Engineer to join our Windows OS Engineering team. This position is focused on the Windows Operating System. The Engineer will be responsible for the development and engineering activities associated with the release of the Windows operating system on all Dell client products, from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life. The Engineer will serve as the central resource for all aspects of the engineering solution for the Windows OS at Dell.

- Working directly with Microsoft to drive resolution of issues, communicate requirements, and drive strategic alignment on future development activities for the Windows OS platform. - Work with client system teams to ensure planning and execution alignment for Windows integration efforts. - Work with manufacturing teams on fulfillment plans and architectures related to the Windows platform. - Work with cross-functional teams to capture technical requirements, communicate engineering status, and drive issue resolution

- BS or MS degree in CS/CE/EE or related fields. - Technical expertise in the Windows Operating System. - Programming skills with experience related to C++, C# .NET & Visual Studio. - Demonstrated ability to lead groups of engineers - Experience working with Microsoft is a plus. - Strong communication skills. - Good team player.
