Summary
Dell is seeking experienced Hardware Systems Engineers to join our Enterprise Server Development Team in Round Rock, TX As a member of our team, you will work across our server portfolio to create products based on the most advanced processors, chipsets, memory architectures, and I/O technologies. You will cross engineering disciplines to enable complex hardware designs and systems interactions, mentor new engineers, and research architectures & components that accelerate innovation and improve our products. You will collaborate with multiple teams including Embedded Firmware, Systems Management, Power, Board Design, Mechanical Engineering, Test, and Manufacturing to develop, debug, and deliver industry leading PowerEdge servers that delight our customers.
Responsibilities
* Define & Design embedded server management, power differentiation, internal storage, and other system feature hardware solutions that support the range of product & portfolio needs through collaboration with stakeholders * Integrate Dell server management software stack, on-board devices & codes, intelligent subsystems, server chipset interfaces and other devices through hands on Systems Engineering * Manage, debug, and resolve defects throughout the program from initial power on to mass production * Prepare and present technical executive readouts on a regular basis
Ideal Candidate
* BS or MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 3+ years of experience in Design and/or Systems Engineering. * Experience in hardware or system design and debugging, with processor, memory, and I/O subsystems * Experience with non-production software development & scripting environments * Ability to make risk calls, priority decisions, and work through others * Strong organization and communication skills in multi-discipline environment * Demonstrated history of cross-functional technical engagement **Preferences:** * Experience with Enterprise Server Design & Manufacturing * Experience with embedded software or BIOS
