Database Administrator

DealerSocket is an industry leading automotive CRM – Customer Relationship Management and dealership training provider, serving auto dealers throughout the US and Canada. This position is responsible for supporting the MySQL Servers in both production and development environments. This role will work alongside a Senior DBA who supports both MySQL and MongoDB. The candidate has a unique opportunity to be a part of a hybrid environment providing a place to learn in a fast paced shop.

* Be a part of and contribute to Weekly Sprint Planning meetings * Handle the day to operations ensuring the health and availability of mission critical Servers * Ability to troubleshoot performance issues in order to pinpoint problem area(s) * Monitor operational alerts and take any necessary action to prevent customer impact * Take part in Health Check Cadences (Daily, Monthly, Quarterly and Annually) * Work closely with external departments offering assistance where needed

**Job Qualifications:** * Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field or related experience * Experience: 1-3+ years supporting MySQL in a production environment * At least 3+ years of general Linux * Ability to work on projects with minimal supervision * Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Pager Duty or Nogios or related tools * Required Skills: On-call troubleshooting experience within a 24/7 production environment * Basic Linux Administration Basic Shell Scripting (Bash preferred) * Basic MySQL 5.5/5.6 **Other Abilities:** * Amazon AWS * RDS * MongoDB * Javascript * Perl Agile/Scrum Atlassian Stack * Possibly Attend Training Conferences and sessions that may require travel
