DSE Search Engineer

* Participate in and drive general product development of our DataStax Enterprise Search product * Cutting edge work on Cassandra, Lucene and Solr * Implement and resolve hard customer requests and issues

We are looking for a talented engineer with expertise building high-performance, distributed systems to join our team in creating a distributed, scalable NoSQL data management platform. In this role you will be working on Cassandra, Lucene and Solr to build advanced search capabilities for our real time big data platform. * Strong Java background in systems and back-end software * Strong troubleshooting skills * Experience with any of Apache Cassandra, Lucene, Solr * Experience designing concurrent systems * Understanding of distributed systems concepts * Understanding of Information Retrieval concepts * Comfortable working with large code bases * Comfortable working with a distributed, larger development organization * BS degree in Computer Science or Equivalent * Experience in researching and applying new concepts and methods * Experience with large scale distributed systems * Involvement in open source communities
