Network Systems Administrator

The face of IT is changing quickly. Organizations are challenging IT groups to transform their business. Virtualization and cloud computing have become critical components of business agility and flexibility.

Our customer is seeking a Network Administrator with experience in Windows operating systems to support SIPRNet environment.

* Provide Network administration, configuration, management, maintenance, and troubleshooting. * Understand, adhere to, deploy and enforce all Security requirements and processes. * Operate and maintain adequate network security (firewalls, authentication systems, cryptography to network services). * Documenting network / system topologies. * Perform network administration tasks including maintaining security baseline, upgrading software and hardware components, and maintaining configuration backups. * Perform hardware upgrades and software patches to servers and clients. * Interface and coordinate with Security, DISA, Military Installations, and SIPRNet helpdesk groups. * Perform other IT duties as required.

* CompTIA Security+ or equivalent Certification, DoD 8570 IAT Level II * CompTIA Network+ / CCNA certification or other advanced certification. * Experience with telecommunications technologies such as T1, fractional DS3, DS3, CSU/DSUs, copper and fiber. * Knowledge of Network Security Technology to include encryption (ACLs, Cisco ASA Firewalls, IPS/IDS, KIV-7M). * Experience implementing Network security policies. * Experience with VMWare technologies * Possess a strong skill set with Microsoft Office software applications * Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams. * Should be a self-starter and have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
