Summary
As the Payroll & Benefits Manager, you will be Datadog’s subject matter expert in all regulatory, compliance and logistical concerns pertaining to benefits, payroll, taxes and deductions. You will also own the communications and business processes required to meet Datadog’s evolving needs.
Responsibilities
* Process, validate, document, standardize and automate the semi-monthly and biweekly payrolls * Process, monitor and resolve all agency notices for all jurisdictions * Manage registrations for each state (and, where applicable, local) jurisdiction where Datadog pays employees and withholds taxes * File all DOL compliance requirements including EEO-1, ACA compliance, etc. * Design and implement a quarterly review process for risk, controls and best practices per industry standards across payroll functions * Responsible for accurate monthly/quarterly/annual filing requirements (including year-end W-2 reporting) * Administer health and welfare plans including plan interpretation, ongoing employee communication and employee enrollment * Process monthly invoices for all benefits plans; conduct monthly reconciliation of all benefit invoices and perform monthly audits to ensure accuracy * Administer FMLA/ADA/Leaves of Absence/STD and Worker’s Compensation programs * Assist in annual compliance testing process by gathering all relevant data (401(k), Pension & Health Plans, 5500’s and Non-Discrimination Testing) * Assist with creating, updating and revising benefits documents and other plan policy materials, as well as ensuring material is up-to-date on all platforms
Ideal Candidate
* 4-6 years of experience processing payroll; startup experience preferred * Experience working with Namely a plus * Expert knowledge of wage and hour laws * Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, vlookups, index matches) * Proven ability to manage and delegate high volumes of transactions accurately and effectively * Demonstrated ability to scale processes as Datadog’s population and payroll complexity increase over time
