Director of Platform Engineering

• Own the technical roadmap and direction for the Platform Engineering team, working closely with Product Management to marry it with our product roadmap and business strategy.
• Run and continuously improve an agile engineering process that hums: a process where engineers have the autonomy and context to do their best work, that promotes shipping frequently and predictably, and uncovers risk.
• Lead recruiting and organizational planning for the Platform Engineering team. You will establish hiring goals, interview norms, extend offers, and onboard new members of your team.
• Partner closely with the executive team and Senior Director of Engineering to gain context, make sound, independent decisions, and communicate risk and progress.

More Than 5 Years of experience and knowledge of:

• An entrepreneurial and technology background with 7+ years experience managing and leading engineering of product development initiatives of vary sizes and complexity.
• Agile evangelist. Passion for shipping code daily and iterating.
• Hands on approach to solving complex technical problems.
• Extensive knowledge and experience with developer tools and technologies including PHP and MySQL
• Experience at working well under pressure and capable of balancing competing priorities in an expanding and fast-paced organization.
