Senior Consultant - Congestion Management

Customized Energy Solutions is looking for a knowledgeable self-starter to join its Congestion Management team as a Consultant or Senior Consultant and support a broad range of clients through the various Financial Transmission Rights (FTR) and Auction Revenue Rights (ARR) processes in the Midcontinent ISO (MISO) and other wholesale electricity markets across the U.S.

* Utilize procedures, data and analytical tools developed internally by Customized Energy Solutions to provide recommendations for entities participating in the ARR and FTR processes to manage their portfolios. * Discuss recommended ARR and FTR portfolio management strategies with clients. Submit data for clients and manage data related to their portfolios. Reliably meet ISO deadlines for data submission and keep clients aware of time-sensitive data submission requirements. * Advise clients on matters related to managing their ARR portfolios and hedging their exposure to congestion charges. * Interact with the various ISOs through their market applications in order to retrieve data and submit ARR and FTR portfolios. Specify business requirements and assist IT staff in development of tools to automate and streamline internal procedures. * Participate in ISO stakeholder discussions directly associated with the ARR and FTR processes in order to stay up-to-date with the current status and potential changes in the market. Analyze relevant tariff changes and discuss them with clients. * Participate in business development activities, by identifying and meeting with potential clients to discuss how the range of products and services offered by Customized Energy Solutions can benefit their business.

* College degree in Engineering, Economics or Business, with strong quantitative background. * At least three (3) years of experience with the MISO wholesale market rules and operation * Deep familiarity with the MISO ARR and FTR process * Strong analytical and quantitative skills * Excellent verbal communication and good written communication * Proficiency in the use of computers, some programming is a plus * Ability to work independently and consistently meet tight and inflexible deadlines
