Summary
The Property Programs Instructor will conduct introductory to advanced level training courses on handling residential and commercial property claims. Training will primarily be delivered in a classroom setting at the Vale campus in Arlington, TX. Experience with property estimating software is essential for this job. Your responsibilities will include teaching courses on and off our campuses (some travel required). Additional duties include developing online coursework and conducting live webinar training. Also this position involves commercial property estimate training for our clients along with other duties that align with management requests.
Responsibilities
* Lead classroom training and activities associated with handling residential and commercial property claims including coverage analysis, loss settlement, evaluating property damage, time element losses, reporting, subrogation, and claims investigation. * Develop new and update current training materials and curriculum for e-learning and classroom courses as needed. * Conduct live webinars as needed * Work with the Property Director and Vale staff to identify improvement opportunities. * Work within the parameters of the schedule and calendar to facilitate training needs. * Promote public image of the company, including brand awareness, by attending trade shows and occasional onsite visits with prospective clients. * Write industry related news articles from time to time as requested by management. * Build new and/or update mockup displays from time which display various stages of residential and commercial construction. * Other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university and/or technical training in a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience * 10 or more years adjusting experience handling residential and commercial property claims, with at least 5 years of experience in the field. * Thorough knowledge of residential and commercial construction techniques * Experience working for an insurance carrier is preferred * Training experience is preferred * Advanced-level experience using estimating software such as Xactimate, Symbility, and/or Simsol estimating platforms * Computer skills required include use of Office products such as Word, Excel, and Power Point
