Lighting is looking for a Quality Manager to lead the Quality Assurance team and efforts in our Racine WI factory to ensure we continually meet the needs and expectations of our customers in a rapidly growing market.
- Effectively manage the MRB and NCM management of the factory and related inventories
- Establish and manage to clearly defined quality metrics and objectives for Racine quality team.
- Through audits and objective evaluations, identify and prioritize opportunities for continual improvement of the quality system and performance.
- Facilitate continual improvement projects and corrective actions to address top improvement opportunities.
- Provide thorough knowledge of quality assurance methods and improvement tools and support the continual strengthening of a Cree Quality Culture.
- Ability to work across and influence at all organizational levels.
- Ability to develop project and implementation plans as well as drive progress within and across departments to meet objectives according to the plan or defined timelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and/or Industrial Engineering; and/or suitable work experience.
- 4 years of experience leading a Quality Systems function within a manufacturing environment.
- Broad knowledge of key business processes including NPI, Manufacturing, Customer Service, Product Reliability, Process Control and Change Management and Supply Chain
- Experience with quality system development and improvement (ISO9001, TS16949, ISO17025)
- Project/Program management experience.
Highly preferred skills and certifications:
- Lighting manufacturing experience a plus.
- Preferred experience with Oracle ERP.
- Strong influencer skills
- Highly skilled in problem solving and root cause analysis methods
