Summary
NextAdvisor, a division of CreditCards.com, is looking for a passionate and dedicated writer to create blog posts, reviews, infographics, research projects, financial/lifestyle articles and other content about the services and topics it covers. This position is a perfect fit for a self-motivated team player with top-notch research, writing and communication skills plus a careful eye for detail. We want a tech-savvy individual with an entrepreneurial mindset that is looking for a broad set of responsibilities. The ability to quickly produce interesting and useful content is a must. Bonus points for those with a background in research or analytics.
Responsibilities
* Take on writing assignments in multiple areas; particularly in relationship to categories covered by NextAdvisor, especially personal finance topics * Test online services and write detailed reviews and comparisons to other services * Do in-depth research projects within the categories that you cover * Research and develop blog content and detailed feature articles related to the various content topics covered on our website * Continually update review content on our site to ensure information is accurate * Quickly gain expertise on new topics and answer user questions * Work within set deadlines and a strict editing schedule * Perform QA, proofreading and editing for new website content and features * Additional projects and responsibilities as determined by the changing needs of the business
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English or Mass Communications * An interest in pursuing a career in online content production * Ability to rapidly produce high quality, original content * Positive, team-focused attitude * Comfortable in a focused but fast moving environment * Experience with HTML, WordPress or other blogging software is a plus * Knowledge of particular categories such as consumer or small business credit cards, credit monitoring or identity theft is a major plus * Experience in research and analytics is a plus
