Director of Product Analytics

It’s also one of the least understood. And that lack of understanding is potentially threatening to consumers’ economic well-being. Bankrate Credit Cards is seeking a Director of Product Analytics. Your job is to collect and analyze user activity on all of our branded sites. This involves setting technical analytics schema, writing a few pieces of JavaScript and being responsible for end-to-end tracking.

* Collect, analyze, and report on the progress of long-term company goals as articulated by the leadership team. * Turn data collection and analysis into actionable recommendations for product features. * Work alongside engineering counterparts with a strong technical capability to design and implement instrumentation * Hold regular meetings with engineering, product and leadership teams to share new data and analysis, and help make data a cornerstone of decision making in the company. * Improve data extraction and analytics methodologies to expedite product testing. * Be the team’s liaison to Product Managers. Provide them with information about how features are being used and suggest opportunities to improve engagement.

* BA or MS Degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science). * 5 years of experience in consumer-facing web and mobile product analytics, especially social media and user interaction data analysis. * Experience using multiple models and methods for measuring, analyzing, and reporting on user interaction data. * Someone with drive, who feels a strong sense of ownership, and actively seeks out new opportunities. * Experience using analytics systems such as: Adobe Analytics, Localytics, SQL, Google Analytics, R or other statistical packages, etc. * Ability to use or write basic JavaScript as part of analytics implementation
