Senior Tax Accountant

Immediate need for a Senior Tax Accountant in downtown Boston. Our client is a specialized real estate investment firm with a small, close-knit group that likes to work hard and play hard. The VP of Tax fosters a fun environment where the team is constantly learning and building skills. There is growth opportunity for the Senior Tax Accountant to move into a management position in the future.

• Preparing and reviewing partnership allocations, tax work papers, and Federal/State tax returns
• Manage tax return preparation for appx. 150 funds
• Review tax basis capital schedules
• Review tax returns for both Federal and State
• Attend and participate in monthly training
• Identify ways to improve processes

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; MST is a plus
• 3+ years of tax experience from either public accounting or corporate setting
• Real estate partnership tax experience is strongly preferred
• CPA is preferred, not required
• Ability to interpret, analyze and apply partnership agreement provisions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
