Summary
**Business Insurance** is seeking a community manager devoted to managing all of the initiatives of our newly launched Diversity & Inclusion Institute for the commercial insurance and risk management industry. A keen interest in social and/or diversity and inclusion issues will be important for passion around this new initiative. The Institute is membership-based and will serve the founding partners and supporting members with research, events, round tables, newsletters, an online community and various resources to share and advocate throughout the year.
Responsibilities
* The community manager will own the upkeep of the digital community, content curation and distribution, customer engagement and service, support on logistics details for all associated meetings, events and conference calls. * You’ll will also assist with developing and managing relationships with various associations, foundations and organizations that are also committed to D&I initiatives and research. * These partnerships will be a critical component of our research and content development strategies.
Ideal Candidate
* You will be extremely detail oriented, digital savvy, with VERY strong writing and communication skills, and experience in or high-level of interest in D&I issues. You’ll be an open-minded, self-starter who is deadline oriented, adaptable and willing to learn. You’ll possess confidence but not a big ego. * Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field * Technology proficient to handle website updates and newsletter content * Adept in Microsoft Office * Adobe, basic HTML, web analytics, and/or email distribution software experience is a nice bonus * Most critical is great communication skills for heavy client, partners, and membership communication to include a lot of writing * Specific experience in or passion around diversity & inclusion issues is a great bonus to have * Past experience in either research and/or event planning is a plus * Organized, open minded, willing to learn,
