Incumbents are responsible for supervising, planning, organizing, and coordinating the daily workload of employees ensuring all activities are completed in a timely manner. Tracks productivity standards.

* Manages the day-to-day processes of the Distribution Center, in their respective areas, through planning and organizing the daily workload activities. Develops a work schedule that supports the timely completion of these daily activities. Reports to Operations Manager any manpower requirements. Assigns employee daily work objectives; sets priorities on a daily basis to coordinate with changing daily needs. Supervises and is accountable for the employees timely completion of daily workload activities. Tracks productivity and quality of area; runs appropriate reports and distributes to Operations Manager and Distribution Center management. * Completes administrative and personnel activities such as processing employee time cards and vacation sheets, and documenting temporary employees’ hours. Initiates hiring, promotions, and terminations of employees. Assists in the final decision-making process. Conducts employee performance reviews. Discusses any performance issues with employees and works with the employee to develop a plan of resolution. * Notes any inventory discrepancies such as shortages, overages, or non-locatables. * Ensures training of Distribution Center employees on the proper work behaviors and the most efficient and effective methods of performing their assigned job responsibilities so as to ensure an acceptable performance and a timely completion of workload activities. Follows-up to ensure training is completed. Ensures cross training of employees in different Distribution Center for a more flexible workforce.

* BA or BS degree preferred. Previous warehouse experience a plus. * Strong oral communication skills. * Organizational skills. * Math skills. * Proficient computer skills. * Leadership skills. * Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
