Summary
Engineering resource to improve the competitiveness of the organization in a performance based team environment. This position is responsible for process improvements (i.e. LEAN) and validation of Vascular Graft and covered Stent Graft manufacturing processes. This position is also responsible for the transfer of newly developed products to manufacturing.
Responsibilities
* Individual will be required to develop a strong working knowledge of day to day operation and assist manufacturing in daily problem solving using a “hands on” approach. * Recommend improvements to existing manufacturing processes, including equipment and tooling. * Perform and document engineering studies and validations in accordance with established procedures and policies in laboratory notebooks or a document control system. * Assembly, operation, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment. * Ability to build rapport with and train manufacturing operators. * Communicate effectively with manufacturing operators, technicians and engineers. * Some Travel may be required, 0-5%.
Ideal Candidate
**Basic Qualifications:** * Perform job with accuracy and attention to detail. * Basic computer and software skills, such as Microsoft Office. * Excellent communication skills. * Ability to record information effectively in a laboratory notebook. * Results oriented. * Hands on technical skills * Understanding of financial system/costing, including inputs that effect product costing, yields and efficiencies. **Additional Desirable Qualifications Skills and Knowledge:** * Experience in statistics, lean manufacturing or 6-sigma. * Medical device manufacturing experience. * Clean room production experience. * Ability to read and understand technical drawings. **Education and/or Experience:** * Minimum of B.S. degree in engineering.
