Facility Operations Assistant

The Facility Operations Assistant will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance of the overall appearance of the facility and building systems. The hours of this position are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, 2pm – 10pm and Saturday and Sunday, 9am – 5pm.
The major responsibilities of this position will include (but are not limited to):
- Indoor and outdoor maintenance of the building, including but not limited to cleaning, stocking, and snow removal
- Assisting with the physical setup and breakdown of internal and external events; including furniture setups, checking temperature set points, ensuring event rooms/restrooms are cleaned, turning on lights, etc.
- Assisting with special maintenance projects, such as painting, office relocations, light carpentry, inventory, and specialized cleaning
- Assisting with the maintenance and repair of all building systems (e.g. mechanical, electrical, fire protection, EMS, etc.)
- Interacting with staff, guests, and members in a professional and responsive manner
- Coordinating with vendors, including the load in/out of caterers, florists, outside cleaners, UPS, Fed Ex, etc.
- Assisting with emergency response, such as assisting during building evacuation drills
- Assisting with other departmental duties as directed
- A minimum of 3 years of related building maintenance and building operations experience, preferably in a high profile, owner-owned property
- Proven experience with the operation and basic maintenance of building operating systems, including HVAC, mechanical and electrical systems, and water/plumbling systems
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Positive, proactive, and results-oriented with with proven ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Highest level of dependability and professionalism
- Ability to as lift and carry weight in excess of 50 pounds
- Related education and training
- The position is considered essential personnel; availability to work flexible hours and overtime, including periodic holidays and during inclement weather
