Presently, we are seeking a Mental Health Clinical Supervisor, responsible for the care and treatment with mental, behavioral or emotional disorders. As a Clinical Supervisor, you will be a valued member of an interdisciplinary and collaborative team, providing patients with a vast spectrum of behavioral health services. Under the direction of the Director of Mental Health, you will be responsible for the care and treatment of patients on an individual level, as well as in a group setting.
- Develop and oversee all aspects of treatment planning;
- Provide clinical supervision to staff and interns on a daily basis;
- Supervise psycho-social assessments and treatment plans, with an emphasis on assessing the risk of suicide or self-harm;
- Engage staff at training and clinical case conferences;
- Coordinate with Bellevue and Elmhurst Hospital Prison Wards for appropriate referrals;
- Conduct chart reviews for appropriate diagnoses and drafts supervisory notes;
- Lead mental health rounds within the department; and
- Other duties as assigned.
- Doctorate in clinical psychology, forensic psychology, counseling psychology, neuropsychology, or clinical neuropsychology from an accredited college or university
- A valid license issued by the New York State Department of Education
- Prior supervisory experience preferred; particularly in a forensic psychiatric or penal setting.
- This position may require a background check, security clearance, and/or drug screening.
