Continuum is composed of 3 integrated and related business units: Services, Products, and R&D. People working at Continuum are typically involved in 1-2 of these areas. A few people are involved in all three.
Responsibilities
Continuum Analytics has built a data analysis and application deployment platform that enables data scientists, quants, engineers and other domain experts understand their data and get the insights they need. We are seeking implementation engineers to deploy our products at our growing list of Enterprise customers. You will be part of a growing company whose products connect the brightest minds with their data, while learning a great deal both from those you work with and the customers you support. Ideally, you will work out of either our Austin, TX or NYC office. In some cases, working remotely will be possible.
Ideal Candidate
Must Have - Deep *nix administrator knowledge - Experience deploying, maintaining, and debugging *nix services - Experience working with complex networking environments (firewalls, subnets, NAT, VPN, proxies) - Some software development experience - Consulting background and/or a high level of comfort working directly with customers - Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients (written and verbal) in a technology support context - Desire to work closely with sales and product teams - Prepared to travel and work on-site with clients where necessary - Ability to contribute to technical documentation, FAQs, Troubleshooting Guides, feature specifications, bug reports Like to Have - Python or JavaScript experience - LDAP or Active Directory experience Cloud and VM deployment experience (AWS, OpenStack, VMWare, Vagrant, Docker) - Devops experience with products/services/systems utilizing CI - Git experience - Experience with clustering technologies - Undergraduate degree in STEM field - Metrics driven: looking for opportunities to quantify engineering, support, and product performance; then taking action based on metrics - Ability to mentor junior support engineers into deeper product knowledge and client support skills - Foreign language
